Vertigo has a series out there now in it’s 3rd story arc and I think 12 issue maybe, called House of Mystery. I believe this is a spin off of another series, House of Suspense or something like that. Well, hankering for a new read I picked up one of the issues two Atomic Comic stops ago and was hooked. The story telling is awesome and sucks you right in. I highly recommend this title and suspect there is a collection in the works.
Other titles I recommend that are off the beaten path of the traditional Superhero books – Walking Dead (of course), Fables, Jack of Fables, Conan, King Kull, Solomon Kane, The Boys, and Kick Ass. Those are fantastic books.
If you are into the superhero genre and not picking up the latest Wolverine with the Old Man Logan story arc, wow, you really are missing some fantastic stuff. Guess you should wait for the trade now as I suspect that you won’t be able to get any copies of the book now. They sell out fast!
